BIOGRAPHY

Jo grew up in the United Kingdom where she was involved in ministry from the age of 13 when she taught her first Sunday School classes and led the children's choir in her local church.

A graduate of Cardiff and Chester universities, she taught high school music and religious education and was involved in many apsects of local church life including short term missions. When she visited Uganda in 2004 on a month-long trip and felt the Lord calling her to move there. Less than a year after returning from that trip, she had resigned her job, sold her apartment and was on a plane to Africa!

Shortly after moving to Uganda to serve at New Hope Uganda, Jo attended a Transformation of the Heart week at Mto Moyoni and life has never been the same! It was there that she first heard the message of the father's heart and was introduced to inner and emotional healing; a journey that would not only grow her relationship with and knowledge of God, but would lead to her next move.

Pursuing more equipping and healing, she attended the Fall 2008 School of the Heart at the Catch the Fire School of Ministry in Toronto where she stayed to intern in children's ministry.

During this season she was able to volunteer as a camp counselor at
IHoP and, responding to a call for forerunners, knew from then on that part of her ministry would always involve worship and intercession, and a passion for day and night prayer was birthed.

It was with great excitement that Jo was able to join the team at the Catch the Fire House of Prayer when it began in 2011. For the following three years she served full time as an intercessory missionary as well as supporting other areas of ministry where needed. As well as serving with the youth and events team and teaching regularly alongside others as part of the team running School fo Champions (a leadership/dscipleship course at Catch the Fire), it was not unusual to find her behind a recpetion desk, a checkout in the resource centre, a sound board or even operating a camera during a conference! It was whilst at Catch the Fire that Jo was also introduced to Restoring the Foundations; an integrated approach to healing ministry that was truly transformational and now Jo loves to teach on the principles behind it and lead others through this process.

In 2014 Jo heard the Lord leading telling her that her season at catch the Fire in Toronto was ending, she was to finish that year. Since then Jo had a year in the UK where she continued her call to fuel the fires of intercession and worship as well as involving herself in projects such as
her local church, not-for-profit community cafe, ecumenical outreach and MHoP, a small House of Prayer in the Manchester area.

Having heard God lead her toward YWAM and knowing he was calling her to North America, Jo took a Discipleship Training School with YWAM Metro NY where she served on staff, until its closure in the summer of 2017.

Jo then returned to the UK and is now serving with YWAM Cymru Wales where she is involved in a variety of ministries that love and serve both the local and immigrant communities.

When she isn't serving in ministry, Jo can be found playing piano, playing word games or getting creative in some way.
