Sometimes I wonder how it is possible to fit so many people and places into only four days!

As I look back, we really fit a lot into a short time, and it's definitely only with the empowering of the Holy Spirit that it works and ends up looking beautiful.

We went without agenda but quickly our days were filled and it was a privilege to meet with so many people across a spectrum of ages, denominations and maturity and let God flow in, through and out of us.

Norway was where we actively ministered to most people and my heart was forever captured for this place and its population.

Young, mature, Believer, unsaved, wealthy, refugee - we saw and loved on them all as we said "God use me".

Here I'll share just a few highlights of the time in Norway:

Our Hosts

Jan and his wife run YWAM Stavanger and graciously opened their homes and their lives to us for those few days.

They're examples of people who live laid down lives, serving, loving and obeying, listening to Holy Spirit and holding His plans above their own.

They welcomed us as blessings and as they shared their ministry and home with us, taught us so much too, about Norway, about the town, about what God has been doing, about serving, about loving, about hospitality......the list goes on!

Prophetic Ministry @ YWAM

We met several people that we ministered to individually. One was a young man with a visa dilemma. The situation was complicated but it was beautiful to see how God used us to confirm what he was already saying and opening up, and how that young man rose up with courage and humility and said 'yes'. Within hours there had been further confirmation - and action! - that led to what is probably one of the bravest decisions he will make. He is a true lover, warrior and servant in the Kingdom, as were many that we met. I love that we got to pray in his destiny and stand with him in that crucial moment.

House Church in Tonstad

No photos here as it was a quick trip flying through the fjords (and yes, scenery was a highlight to!) to meet with this small house church where we shared on hearing God's voice before praying and prophesying with them. One lady had some real breakthrough as she was able to make some steps in a journey of healing and restoration and we got to enjoy some more wonderful Norwegian hospitality.

Home Group in Sandnes

Here we met with an older group of believers who although hadn't fully encountered the Holy Spirit's tangible presence for themselves, were open. And God honoured that! We'd been praying over each other as we went out and I was given the word that God was equipping me with a hammer, both the tool in the spirit in terms of breaking through things, or nailing them and the hammers of the piano that make melody and usher in the presence of God. When we arrived and the first thing I saw in the room we were to meet in was a piano, we knew we were to begin with worship. It just took off from there! A beautiful time of spontaneous worship, prayer, prophesy with at least one physical healing and much encouragement for a generation that sometimes feels overlooked. What made it more significant for them was we had the option of being part of the YWAM event for that evening, but God put it on our hearts to choose them, speaking to them of their value and worth and the things he has for them still.

Worship In Stavanger

We walked, talked and prayed our way round the city but also led an incredible set in their HoP on our last day. Words were coming out for the city, the church, the nation and the continent and there was both such a sweetness and such power in the place. God truly loves when we worship and honours the time set aside to seek him and pour our love on him.

Their HoP is only just beginning and their vision is most similar to Hope City at IHoP KC so we also got to pray with lots of the homeless community that came in to enjoy the free food, mostly made up of eastern European immigrants from various gypsy backgrounds. There were a few Zegan, a group I'd ministered to in my teens/early twenties and whilst I couldn't remember much of the language, it was good to share memories with them of their beautiful home and remind them of the many works going on to reach an often despised group.

Norway, you are loved by God and by many! It was a joy to call in your destiny and to encourage those who live there and are committed to seeing the Kingdom come in the land.

Facebook - I can verify there are absolutely no pigs at this skate park.jpg

PS - One of the fun things about travel is language, especially finding words that sound funny to my English-speaking ear, or that mean soemthing else.

I was told that a 'pig' is a spike, so this sign at the skate park now makes sense, but I did enjoy that moment of wondering why they needed to advertise that there were absolutely no pigs!!!! Are they often a problem in skate parks? The mid boggles!!!
